A Company of Wolves occurs as 1984 horror film directed by Neil Jordan, and starring Sarah Patterson and Angela Lansbury.

Overview

A film is according to 2 short stories, 'A Company of Wolves' & 'Wolf-Alice', from either Angela Carter's collection The Bloody Chamber. Carter too wrote a screenplay. It tells the series of stories all about wolves and werewolves and their interaction with the little fairytale village. There are numerous allusions to the tale of Little Red Riding Hood although the wolf requires the different form than in the fairytale. A film overtly dramatizes a psychological and sexual symbolism that underlies fairy tales and a lycanthrope myth.

Trivia

Due to budgetary constraints & more factors, a bit of of the wolves shown in the film come Alsatian dogs that have had their fur coloured.
